In Re: Theodore Chau, applying for supervisory writs, 22nd Judicial District Court, Parish of St. Tammany, No. 2012-15057. BEFORE: McDONALD, McCLENDON AND WELCH, JJ.
WRIT GRANTED WITH ORDER. The judgment of the trial court dated May 17, 2017 fails to award a specific amount of attorney's fees; therefore, it is a non-final, non-appealable judgment. "A valid judgment must be precise, definite and certain." Jenkins v. Recovery Technology Investors, 2002-1788 (La. App. 1st Cir. 6/27/03), 858 So.2d 598, 600. The matter is remanded to the trial court with instruction to determine attorney's fees with appropriate certainty. We further pretermit ruling on the 1915(B) certification of the judgment as well as the merits of the trial court's partial motion for summary judgment grant.
