Case No. 2:05-cv-0435 (S.D. Ohio Oct. 23, 2006)

Opinion

Case No. 2:05-cv-0435.

October 23, 2006

ORDER

The Court conducted a status conference on October 20, 2006. The parties agreed that a brief suspension of litigation activities to permit them to explore settlement would be appropriate. Plaintiff will make a written settlement demand by October 27, 2006. Defendants will respond within one week thereafter. The parties will then negotiate in good faith in an effort to reach a settlement. By December 4, 2006, they will report to the Court if (1) the case is settled or if further negotiations between counsel would be productive; (2) if the case would benefit from mediation with a Magistrate Judge; or (3) if settlement possibilities have been exhausted. If the last of these is the case, the status report shall also propose new dates for the completion of discovery and the filing of case-dispositive motions.
