Dean Sivorakoune v. Chackkraphan Chamratban

246th District Court of Harris County Trial court case number: 2021 -36750

ORDER

Amparo Guerra Judge

On April 18, 2022, Appellant Dean Sivorakoune filed a brief in this appeal. Appellant's brief, however, does not comply with the formal requirements set forth in Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 38.1. Specifically, the brief does not contain (1) the identity of parties and counsel, (2) a table of contents, (3) an index of authorities, (4) a statement of the case, (5) a statement of the issues presented for review, (6) a summary of the argument, (7) an argument for the contentions made, with appropriate citations to authorities and to the record, or (8) an appendix containing a copy of the trial court's judgment from which relief is sought. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.1(a)-(d), (f), (h)-(i), (k).

Accordingly, the Court strikes appellant's brief and orders that appellant file an amended brief no later than 20 days from the date of this order. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.9. If appellant fails to file a brief that conforms with Rule 38.1, the appeal may be dismissed for want or prosecution or failure to comply with a requirement of the rules of appellate procedure or an order of this Court. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.8(a), 38.9, 42.3(b)(c).

It is so ORDERED.
