HIGHWAYS AND STREETS, § 587when court properly directed verdict for city in personal injury action. In action against city to recover damages for personal injuries alleged to have been sustained when plaintiff, a woman, stumbled over step in sidewalk, trial court properly directed verdict for city at close of plaintiff's evidence where there was no evidence to show that city had failed in its duty to keep sidewalk in repair.

Appeal from the Superior Court of Cook county; the Hon. FRANK M. PADDEN, Judge, presiding. Judgment affirmed. Heard in the second division, first district, this court at the October term, 1944.
