On July 3, 2024, the parties filed a Joint Status Report. In the report the parties state, among other things, that this case is currently assigned to the Internal Revenue Service's Independent Office of Appeals. The parties have scheduled an appeals conference for August 14, 2024. If this case cannot be resolved in appeals, the parties state that this case will not be ready for trial until 2026 at the earliest. The parties request to file another status report in six months. ORDERED that on or before January 24, 2025, the parties shall file a joint report regarding the then-current status of this case.
