Roby v. Fla. Bar

Supreme Court of Florida.
Jul 19, 2013
120 So. 3d 561 (Fla. 2013)

Opinion

No. SC12–2541.

2013-07-19

Ronald H. ROBY, Petitioner(s) v. THE FLORIDA BAR, Respondent(s).

Petitioner has filed a petition for writ of mandamus asking the Court to quash Respondent's subpoena and direct the grievance committee to make a determination based upon the information already supplied. SeeR. Regulating Fla. Bar 3–7.7(e) (Extraordinary Writs). Because petitioner has failed to show a clear legal right to the relief requested, he is not entitled to mandamus relief. Accordingly, the petition for writ of mandamus is hereby denied. See Huffman v. State, 813 So.2d 10, 11 (Fla.2000).

PARIENTE, QUINCE, CANADY, LABARGA, and PERRY, JJ., concur.
