JACOB RAMIE PRATT, Appellant, v. RENEE BAKER, WARDEN; AND THE STATE OF NEVADA, Respondents.

ORDER OF AFFIRMANCE

Jacob Ramie Pratt appeals from a district court order dismissing the postconviction petition for a writ of habeas corpus he filed on September 22, 2016. Second Judicial District Court, Washoe County; Lidia Stiglich, Judge.

This appeal has been submitted for decision without oral argument. NRAP 34(f)(3). --------

In his petition, Pratt raised multiple claims regarding parole policy, statutes, and administrative codes. The district court determined Pratt was seeking true habeas relief and dismissed his petition because his claims did not demonstrate unlawful confinement. The district court further noted parole was an act of grace and there is no cause of action when parole has been denied. We conclude Pratt's claims fell outside the scope of claims permissible in either a true habeas petition or a postconviction habeas petition and therefore the district court did not err by dismissing his petition. See NRS 34.360; NRS 34.720; NRS 34.724(1); McConnell v. State, 125 Nev. 243, 247, 212 P.3d 307, 310 (2009). Accordingly, we

ORDER the judgment of the district court AFFIRMED.
