ORDER
Before the Court is appellant's March 21, 2017 motion for an extension of time to file appellant's brief. A review of these appeals shows that the notices of appeal were timely filed in the trial court on September 21, 2016, vesting this Court with jurisdiction. In cause number 05-16-01409-CR, the notice of appeal was filed in this Court on December 2, 2016; the clerk's record and reporter's record were timely filed thereafter. In cause number 05-17-00222-CR, however, the notice of appeal was not forwarded to this Court until March 3, 2017. On March 7, 2017, the reporter's record was filed reflecting both cause numbers, and on March 13, 2071, the clerk's record in cause number 05-17-00222-CR was filed. Thus, appellant's brief is not due until April 13, 2017.
Nevertheless, we GRANT the motion and ORDER appellant to file his brief on or before May 8, 2017.
