DELORIS PHILLIPS APPELLANT v. SUGAR CREEK APTS APPELLEE

FROM COUNTY COURT AT LAW NO. 1 OF TARRANT COUNTY
TRIAL COURT NO. 2016-001848-1 MEMORANDUM OPINION

Appellant Deloris Phillips seeks to appeal a June 2, 2016 order granting a notice of nonsuit. On May 10, 2017, we notified Phillips of our concern that we may not have jurisdiction over this appeal because the notice of appeal was not timely filed—it was due July 5, 2016, but was not filed until April 28, 2017. See Tex. R. App. P. 26.1. We also informed Phillips that the appeal may be dismissed for want of jurisdiction unless she or any party desiring to continue the appeal filed a response showing grounds for continuing the appeal. See Tex. R. App. P. 42.3(a), 44.3. Phillips filed a response, but it does not show grounds for continuing the appeal. Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal for want of jurisdiction. See Tex. R. App. P. 43.2(f).

PER CURIAM PANEL: MEIER, GABRIEL, and SUDDERTH, JJ. DELIVERED: July 13, 2017
