ORDER
Before the Court is the parties' January 24, 2018 agreed motion for extension of time to file appellants' briefs. In the motion, the parties explain that they are involved in settlement discussions that are contingent upon an occurrence of an event expected to happen on or before April 2, 2018 which would potentially moot this appeal. Appellants request an extension to April 2, 2018. We GRANT the motion as follows: We ORDER appellants to file, by April 2, 2018, either their briefs or a status report regarding the parties' settlement discussions.
We ABATE this appeal. The appeal will be reinstated on April 2, 2018 or on motion of any party, whichever occurs sooner.
