ORDER MODIFYING OPINION AND DENYING REHEARING [NO CHANGE IN JUDGMENT]

THE COURT: It is ordered that the opinion filed herein on August 25, 2011, be modified as follows: On page 6, in the first sentence of the second full paragraph, the word "convictions" is changed to "conviction" so the sentence reads:

At defense counsel's request, the court agreed to "sanitize" defendant's conviction so that the jury would learn only that defendant had suffered a conviction for "a felony of moral turpitude" and the date of conviction.
On page 13, the first sentence of footnote 7, is changed so the sentence reads:
Inasmuch as we find no error, we need not and do not address defendant's argument that "the error in limited impeachment was [not] harmless beyond a reasonable doubt."
There is no change in the judgment. The petition for rehearing is denied.

Marchiano, P.J.
