Attorney Regulation.

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Curt Todd (Attorney Registration No. 14332) from the practice of law for a period of sixty days, all stayed upon the successful completion of a period of probation terminating on September 28, 2009, effective January 21, 2009. On January 7, 2007, Respondent became angry with his six-year-old daughter and struck her on the bottom three times. He also struck her with his open hand. This incident was witnessed in part by his ten-year-old daughter. Respondent was arrested on January 9, 2007, and charged with committing child abuse in violation of C.R.S. § 18-6-401, a class 1 misdemeanor. Respondent immediately admitted to substantially all of the alleged conduct and also voluntarily began mental health treatment within several weeks. Respondent entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to two years supervised probation, parenting classes, and court costs of approximately $1,341.00. His misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b).
