Opinion

No. 05PDJ053.

March 30, 2006.

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Respondent Jim Tatum (Attorney Registration No. 17204) from the practice of law for a period of ninety days, effective May 1, 2006. Respondent knowingly violated several orders of the Water Court pertaining to his request for a ruling concerning the language of a water decree and caused that court to engage in protracted proceedings to address his disobedience. Respondent also filed frivolous actions in the district court and the court of appeals, and in doing so engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice. Respondent's misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 3.1, 3.4(c) and 8.4(d).
