PEOPLE v. STITELY (RICHARD)


Withdrawal of counsel allowed by order

Good cause appearing, the application of appointed associate counsel for permission to withdraw as attorney of record for condemned inmate Richard Stitely, filed January 9, 2018, is hereby granted.

The order appointing Jo Anne Keller as associate counsel of record for condemned inmate Richard Stitely, filed December 9, 1997, is hereby vacated.

Andrea T. Levine is hereby appointed as associate counsel of record to represent condemned inmate Richard Stitely for all further capital-related state postconviction proceedings in this court, all matters related to the evidentiary hearing now pending in Los Angeles County Superior Court (see In re Richard Stitely on Habeas Corpus, S115894), and for subsequent proceedings, including the preparation and filing of a petition for clemency with the Governor of California, as appropriate.

Joel Levine remains as appointed lead counsel of record for condemned inmate Richard Stitely.
