PEOPLE v. SPENCER (CHRISTOPHER ALAN)


Withdrawal of counsel allowed by order

Good cause appearing, appointed habeas corpus/executive clemency counsel Emry J. Allen's motion to withdraw as counsel of record, filed on April 29, 2019, is granted. The April 11, 2001, order appointing Allen as habeas corpus/executive clemency counsel is hereby vacated.

Attorney Michael W. Clough is hereby appointed as habeas corpus/executive clemency counsel of record for appellant Christopher Alan Spencer, including in the proceedings in the superior court related to In re Spencer, S212368.

Emry Allen is directed to deliver to Michael Clough, within 30 days from the filing of this order, all appellate and habeas corpus work product, trial files, and all other appellate and habeas corpus related materials that he has obtained from appellant Christopher Alan Spencer or from his trial counsel, experts, investigators, or paralegals, or from any other source.
