People v. Peterson

Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York, First Department
Sep 24, 1998
253 A.D.2d 706 (N.Y. App. Div. 1998)

Opinion

September 24, 1998

Appeal from the Supreme Court, New York County (Richard Andrias, J.).

Defendant knowingly and voluntarily pleaded guilty and the record belies his claim that he did not understand the conditions of his plea due to a psychological disorder. We also conclude that defendant received effective assistance of counsel ( People v. Ford, 86 N.Y.2d 397, 404).

Concur — Sullivan, J. P., Nardelli, Mazzarelli and Saxe, JJ.
