Motion to extend time to take an appeal granted upon condition that notice of appeal is filed and served on or before July 1, 1996. Memorandum: An appeal in a criminal action is taken by filing a notice of appeal with the county clerk in the county in which the sentence was imposed ( see, CPL 460.10 [a]). In order for defendant to take an appeal, he must file a notice of appeal in the proper location.
