ESTATE OF JEANETTE OTTOVICH, DECEASED, RANDY OTTOVICH, HARVEY OTTOVICH, AND KAREN RAYL, EXECUTORS, Petitioners v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes Judge

This case was on the Court's October 19, 2015 trial calendar for San Francisco, California. A fight about who should administer the estate delayed a resolution for years. Then the pandemic struck. California Superior Court appointed co-administrators for the estate, who have contracted for the sale of real property on which the government has a lien and which would fund the settlement of this case. That sale remains in escrow, as we learned in a call with the parties on August 2, and other lienholders have come forward. Petitioner assured us that counsel handling the probate proceeding will petition by the end of this month to finally get the sale through. That hearing is set for January 2023. The Court sees little advantage to moving the case off the status-report track, and it is

ORDERED that on or before February 1, 2023 the parties shall file another status report describing whether escrow has been concluded and the IRS paid.
