Steven Nichol & Kerri Nichol Petitioners v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Respondent

ORDER

Patrick J. Urda Judge

This case was previously set for trial at the Court's session scheduled to begin in Little Rock, Arkansas on April 6, 2020. Due to concerns about COVID-19, that trial session was canceled, and this case was assigned to the undersigned.

On December 22, 2021, the Commissioner filed a status report indicating that the parties have not made any progress since our October conference call. Given the representation that petitioner Kerri Nichol has been going through some medical procedures, we will allow more time for the Nichols to gather their documentation and provide it to the Commissioner. If the parties are unable to make any progress by then, the Court intends to schedule this case on a trial calendar. Upon due consideration, it is

ORDERED that, on or before February 25, 2022, the parties shall file a joint status report (or separate reports, if that is more expedient) as to any progress made since the last status report. After the filing of a status report, the Court will determine if this case should be set for trial in due course.
