GWENDOLYN MAYWEATHER v. ST. FRANCISVILLE BANCSHARES, INC. D/B/A THE BANK OF ST. FRANCISVILLE

In Re: Gwendolyn Mayweather, applying for supervisory writs, 20th Judicial District Court, Parish of West Feliciana, No. 22815. BEFORE: McCLENDON, WELCH AND THERIOT, JJ.

WRIT DENIED. A judgment sustaining an exception of prescription is a final and appealable judgment. See La. Code Civ. P. art. 1841. However, there appears to be no written judgment herein sustaining the exception of prescription filed by St. Francisville Bancshares with the proper decretal language necessary for an appeal. At such time as the trial court may render a final, appealable judgment with proper decretal language, plaintiff, Gwendolyn Mayweather, may then seek an appeal.
