Decided September 15, 2000.

Consideration, by the Court of Appeals, on its own motion pursuant to N.Y. Constitution, article VI, § 22 (e), (g) and Judiciary Law § 44 (8) (a), (c) of whether the Honorable Luara D. Stiggins should be suspended from her office of Justice of the Dansville Town Court, Steuben County, pleading disposition of her request for review of a determination by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct.


On the Court's own motion, it is determined that Honorable Laura D. Stiggins is suspended, with pay, effective immediately, from the office of Justice of the Dansville Town Court, Steuben County, Pending disposition of her request for review of a determination by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. Chief Judge Kaye and Judges Smith, Levine, Ciparick, Wesley and Rosenblatt concur.
