Cody James LORENZ, Appellant v. The STATE of Texas, Appellee

From the 25th Judicial District Court, Guadalupe County, Texas

Trial Court No. 12-0259-CR

Honorable W.C. Kirkendall, Judge Presiding

ORDER

On July 24, 2013, we abated this appeal to the trial court to hold a hearing to determine whether appellant desires to prosecute his appeal, whether appellant is indigent, and whether retained counsel had abandoned the appeal. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(b)(2). We received a supplemental clerk's record on August 12, 2013, containing the trial court's findings that appellant desires to prosecute his appeal and is indigent, an order permitting retained counsel to withdraw, and an order appointing Gregory Sherwood as new appellate counsel for appellant.

It is therefore ORDERED that this appeal is REINSTATED on the docket of this court. It is further ORDERED that the appellant's brief is due within thirty (30) days from the date of this order.
