ORDER DISMISSING CASE WITHOUT PREJUDICE

The Court has sua sponte reviewed the recently-filed complaint by pro-se plaintiff Khor Chin Lim. Plaintiff briefly attended California State University at Hayward. His complaint alleges that certain instructors, law review articles editors and university employees conspired to defame him and breached their fiduciary duties toward him. The relief sought is to hold these individuals, the Board of Regents, and the University of California responsible for plaintiff's tuition, living expenses, and loss of future earnings in the amount of $6,973,920.00 and $2,200,000.00 in punitive damages.

On its face, the complaint is ridiculous. The complaint does not plead with any specificity the causes of action alleged, nor does it any in way demonstrate a causal connection between the alleged defamatory statements and the injury alleged.

The defendants, including Governor Gray Davis, the California Board of Regents, and the University of California at Berkeley will not be required to expend their resources to respond to this frivolous complaint. The complaint is dismissed without prejudice.

IT IS SO ORDERED.
