APPEAL AND ERROR, § 580time within which extension of time for filing record and abstract and petition for leave to appeal from new trial order must be granted. Under the Civil Practice Act and rules of Supreme and Appellate Courts, any extension of time for the filing of records, abstracts and petition for appeal from an order granting a new trial must be granted within 30 days after entry of order by the trial court; and after that court has no power to grant a further extension (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1939, ch. 110, §§ 201, 259.30; Jones Ill. Stats. Ann. 104.077, 105.30).
