Appeal from the 143rd District Court of Loving County, Texas (TC# 22-12-1075)

Before Alley, C.J., Palafox and Soto, JJ.

ORDER

PER CURIAM

The reporter's record in this accelerated appeal involving a 2022 election matter was originally due on January 2, 2024. The due date was adjusted by the January 19, 2024 trial court order, which set the due date for the reporter's record from the trial to February 5, 2024, with the remainder of the reporter's record due on or before February 15, 2024. This Court set an accelerated briefing schedule based on the February 15, 2024 due date, indicating "[t]his Court fully expects that the court reporters, collectively, will work together to ensure that the records in this cause are timely filed as ordered by the trial court." On February 15, 2024, court reporter Linda Lester requested an extension of time within which to produce her portion of the record due to extenuating circumstances.

We hereby ORDER court reporter Linda Lester to file the entirety of her portion of the reporter's record in Case No. 08-24-00001-CV within 15 days of today's date. No further extensions will be granted. Ms. Lester is advised that, if her personal situation is such that she cannot complete the record, she is obligated to secure the assistance other professionals to assist in completing the record as we have ordered. Failure to timely file her portion of the record as we have ordered may result in a further order of this Court requiring her to personally appear before this Court, or the trial court, to explain the failure in completing the record.

We further adjust the accelerated briefing schedule as follows: the Appellants' and Appellants/Cross-Appellees' opening briefs are due to be filed on or before the tenth day following the filing of Ms. Lester's reporter's record, and each brief thereafter is due within ten days after the date the preceding brief is due as follows.

See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.6 (a), (b) (providing a twenty-day deadline for filing briefs in an accelerated appeal); see also TEX. R. APP. P. 38.6 (d) (providing for adjusting the time for filing briefs).

(1) The opening brief of Appellants/Cross-Appellees Angela Medlin, Mozelle Carr, and Ysidro Renteria, and the opening brief of Appellants Senaida Polanco, Sylvia Renteria, Joe Renteria, Michael Renteria, Marisa Renteria, Marcella Renteria, Rachel Jones, Wesley Lowrance, and RayChel Lowrance.
(2) The combined response/opening brief of Appellees/Cross-Appellants Amber Marie King, Holly Diane Jones, and James Alan Sparks.
(3) The combined reply/response brief of Appellant/Cross-Appellees Angela Medlin, Mozelle Carr, and Ysidro Renteria, and the reply brief of Appellants Senaida Polanco, Sylvia Renteria, Joe Renteria, Michael Renteria, Marisa Renteria, Marcella Renteria, Rachel Jones, Wesley Lowrance, and RayChel Lowrance.
(4) The reply brief of Appellees/Cross-Appellants Amber Marie King, Holly Diane Jones, and James Alan Sparks.

IT IS SO ORDERED.
