Opinion

Civil Action No. 05-4988.

July 7, 2006

MEMORANDUM/ORDER

By order dated March 9, 2006 (Docket # 47), I ordered that plaintiff's counsel be sanctioned "in an amount equal to two-thirds of the expenses and attorney's fees reasonably incurred by defendants in preparation of their motion for sanctions and motions to dismiss the original complaint in Jackson II." As an aid to the court in fixing a dollar amount for the sanction, I requested that defendants submit to the court a statement of their attorney's fees. On March 27, 2006, defendants filed such a statement (Docket # 54), which was followed by an opposing submission from plaintiff, replies from defendants, and a sur-reply from plaintiff. Pursuant to this court's order dated September 28, 2005 (Docket # 3), this matter is referred to Magistrate Judge M. Faith Angell, for determination of the appropriate dollar amount of the sanction imposed by the March 9, 2006 order and for entry of an order or orders implementing that determination.
