The Lead Plaintiff for the class in the Securities Litigation and Arthur Andersen LLP ("Andersen") have executed a settlement agreement that would resolve the issues currently being tried before the Court. Because the trial is in its fifth week, it is hereby

ORDERED that an expedited preliminary approval hearing on Andersen's settlement of the class action will be held at 9 a.m. on April 26, 2005, in Courtroom 11B, 500 Pearl Street, New York, New York.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that, if possible, any party wishing to object to the terms of the settlement shall notify the Lead Plaintiff, Andersen, and the Court by April 25, 2005 at 5 p.m., briefly stating the ground for the objection.
