IN THE MATTER OF W.A.M.P., Appellant

On Appeal from the 315th District Court Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 2020-00197J

Panel consists of Justices Wise, Spain, and Hassan.

ORDER

PER CURIAM.

The court has received the public defender's letter dated September 28, 2022, in which the public defender informs the court that appellant has been involuntarily removed from the United States and purports to "abandon" appellant's remaining issue on appeal (issue 2).

The court ORDERS the public defender to file, no later than October 25, 2022, additional briefing addressing whether the public defender is able to communicate with its client such that it has the agency to "abandon" the client's issue 2 on the client's behalf, or whether the public defender instead must withdraw from its representation of the client because the public defender cannot communicate with the client following the client's deportation.
