IN RE CHRISTOPHER M. VICKERS

On Petition for Writ of Mandamus.

Before Chief Justice Contreras and Justices Silva and Peña

ORDER

PER CURIAM.

Relator Christopher M. Vickers has filed a petition for writ of mandamus through which he asserts that the trial court abused its discretion by refusing to transfer venue. Relator requests that we issue an emergency stay of all trial court proceedings until such time as this Court determines the merits of the petition for writ of mandamus.

This Court, having examined and fully considered relators' request for an emergency stay, is of the opinion that it should be granted. Accordingly, the Court grants the request for an emergency stay and orders the trial court proceedings to be stayed pending the resolution of this original proceeding. See Tex. R. App. P. 52.10(b) ("Unless vacated or modified, an order granting temporary relief is effective until the case is finally decided."). The Court requests that the real party in interest, Lena C. Munoz, or any others whose interests might be directly affected by the relief sought, file a response to the petition for writ of mandamus within ten days from the date of this order. See id. R. 52.4, 52.8.
