On Appeal from the 86th Judicial District Court Kaufman County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 113429-86

ORDER

BONNIE LEE GOLDSTEIN JUSTICE

By order dated August 21, 2023, we struck appellant's brief as non-compliant and ordered him to file a corrected brief. Our order set forth in detail the requirements necessary for a conforming brief.

Before the Court is appellant's September 19, 2023 motion for a forty-five day extension of time to file the requested corrected brief. Appellant explains that he is in federal prison and cannot access the briefing rules. We GRANT the motion as follows. We DIRECT the Clerk of this Court to send appellant a paper copy of (1) the clerk's record so that appellant can cite to the record in his brief and (2) Rules 9.9 and 38.1 of the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure. See TEX. R. APP. P. 9.9, 38.1. The Court is also enclosing a copy of "Information for People Without Lawyers," which is available online at the Court's website and at our office.

Appellant shall file his corrected brief no later than November 3, 2023.
