Administrative Order No. 2010-106

October 19, 2010.

Rescinding Administrative Order No. 2009-124.

Retired Arizona Chief Justice Ruth V. McGregor was appointed on December 23, 2009, to serve on behalf of the Chief Justice as a Special Master to oversee the administration of cases between or among the Office of the Maricopa County Attorney, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, and the Superior Court in Maricopa County, or any members of the mentioned officers. In this capacity, the Honorable Ruth V. McGregor provided effective and valued service to Arizona, the Judicial Branch, and the Chief Justice.

Matters requiring the oversight of the Special Master have now diminished to the point that the services of a Special Master are no longer needed. Therefore,

IT IS ORDERED that the authority granted the Honorable Ruth V. McGregor in Administrative Order No. 2009-124 is rescinded, effective this date.

IT IS FURTHERED ORDERED that in the event any additional action is needed on any matter previously handled by the Special Master, or if any new matter arises that would have been handled by the Special Master pursuant to Administrative order No. 2009-124, the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court in Maricopa County shall refer the matter to the Chief Justice.
