In re S Shukait-Pierce Minor

LC No. 21-016098-NA

Stephen L. Borrello Elizabeth L. Gleicher Judges

ORDER

Cynthia Diane Stephens Presiding Judge

This Court's opinion and order entered on October 7, 2021, reversed the trial court's order authorizing the removal of the minor child, SSP, and remanded, while retaining jurisdiction, for further proceedings. Specifically, the trial court was ordered to afford respondent father the time to execute a power of attorney or nominate a guardian for SSP's care and custody. On remand, the trial court dismissed respondent father as respondent, finding that he had made efforts to nominate proposed guardians and had filed a petition requesting the appointment of a guardian for SSP's care and custody. The remand proceedings having rendered moot any remaining appellate issues, this appeal is DISMISSED. MCR 7.211(C)(2); MCR 7.216(A)(7). We do not retain jurisdiction.
