In the MATTER OF Aishaah A. RASUL, A Judge of the Municipal Court.


ORDER

The Supreme Court having been informed that the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct filed a Formal Complaint against Judge Aishaah A. Rasul, Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Englewood, alleging that she violated, among other authority, the following provisions of the Code of Judicial Conduct: Canon 1, Rule 1.1 ; Canon 1, Rule 1.2 ; Canon 2, Rule 2.1 ; Canon 2, Rule 2.2 ; Canon 2, Rule 2.3(A) ; Canon 3, Rule 3.2 ; Canon 3; Rule 3.5 ; Canon 3, Rule 3.6(A) ; Canon 3, Rule 3.6(C) ; Canon 3, Rule 3.7 ; Canon 3, Rule 3.8 ; and Canon 3, Rule 3.17(B)(6) ;

And the Court having determined pursuant to Rule 2:15-17(a), that there is probable cause to conclude that respondent has violated the Code of Judicial Conduct, and that her continued service while disciplinary proceedings are pending would pose a substantial threat of serious harm to the administration of justice, And good cause appearing;

IT IS ORDERED that Municipal Court Judge Aishaah A. Rasul is suspended from the exercise of her judicial duties, without pay, effective immediately, pending expedited proceedings before the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct and until the further Order of the Court.
