Relators, Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. and Gregory Lee, have filed a petition for a writ of mandamus and a "Motion for Emergency Stay of Discovery Order Made the Basis of Petition for Writ of Mandamus." The motion is granted. The trial court's July 28, 2017 and August 8, 2017 orders in cause number 2015-75740 in the 215th District Court of Harris County are stayed. The stay is effective until disposition of relators' petition or further order of this Court.
The Court requests a response to the petition for a writ of mandamus from real party in interest, Richard Carter. The response, if any, is due no later than Thursday, August 31, 2017. Any other real party in interest in this proceeding who wishes to respond to the petition may do so, and any response should be filed no later than Thursday, August 31, 2017.
