IN THE INTEREST OF N.H.N., A CHILD

On Appeal from the 246th District Court Harris County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 2014-07634

ABATEMENT ORDER

This is an appeal from an order signed June 1, 2017, in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship. Appellant, Loc Huu Nguyen, filed his brief in March 2018. A few weeks after he filed his brief, appellant filed this motion stating he noticed only recently that the findings of fact and conclusions of law in the appellate record are not signed. The clerk's record includes proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law submitted by appellee and filed June 5, 2017. The proposed findings and conclusions are not signed.

Appellant asks that we abate the appeal so that the record may be supplemented with the signed findings and conclusions. The motion has been pending for more than ten days, and no response has been filed.

We GRANT appellant's motion and ABATE the appeal so signed findings of fact and conclusions of law may be filed in a supplemental clerk's record. The signed findings and conclusions shall be filed in this court by June 25, 2018.

The appeal is abated, treated as a closed case, and removed from this court's active docket. The appeal will be reinstated on this court's active docket after the signed findings and conclusions are filed in this court. The court will also consider an appropriate motion to reinstate the appeal filed by either party, or the court may reinstate the appeal on its own motion.

Appellee's brief will be due 30 days after the appeal is reinstated.

PER CURIAM Panel consists of Justices Boyce, Donovan, and Wise.
