MEMORANDUM OPINION

This petition for writ of habeas corpus was filed and signed by a third party who is not an attorney on behalf of relator. The relator did not sign the petition. A party not represented by counsel must sign any document that the party files. Tex.R.App.P. 9.1(b). Additionally, the petition did not comply with the requirements of appellate rule 52.3 regarding the form and contents of the petition. See Tex.R.App.P. 52.3.

In a letter dated September 15, 2006, we instructed relator to file a petition signed by him and in compliance with rule 52.3.
