Trial court: 310th District Court of Harris County Trial court case number: 2021-00544
ORDER OF REINSTATEMENT
April Farris, Judge.
Appellant, mother, filed a notice of appeal from the trial court's August 28, 2023 Order Terminating the Parent-Child Relationship, terminating mother's parental rights to her minor child, K.H.G. On October 11, 2023, mother, through counsel, filed a "Motion to Abate Appeal," stating that "on October 3, 2023 and again on October 11, 2023," mother "filed requests to supplement the clerk's record." Mother therefore requested that the appeal be abated until the clerk's record is "complete."
On October 19, 2023, the Court granted the motion and abated the appeal. The Court further advised the parties that the appeal would remain abated and removed from the Court's active docket until a party successfully moved to reinstate this appeal.
On October 30, 2023, mother filed a "Motion to Lift Abatement and Reinstate the Appeal." In her motion to reinstate, mother advised the Court that the supplemental clerk's record requested by mother was filed on October 26, 2023, and that "the record is [now] complete." Mother therefore requested that the "Court lift the abatement and reinstate the appeal."
Mother's motion is granted. Accordingly, the Court lifts the abatement and reinstates the appeal on the Court's active docket. Appellant is further directed to file her brief within twenty days of the date of this order. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.6(a), (d).
It is so ORDERED.
