IN THE INTEREST OF J.B.P. A/K/A J.B.S., J.J.M., AND J.R.P., Children

From the 45th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas Trial Court No. 2020-PA-02425 Honorable Martha Tanner, Judge Presiding

Sitting: Patricia O. Alvarez, Justice Luz Elena D. Chapa, Justice Irene Rios, Justice

ORDER

Patricia O. Alvarez, Justice

In this parental-rights termination case, Appellant filed her brief on March 28, 2022, but the brief is defective. Specifically, the brief identifies the mother and the children who are the subject of the suit by name, date of birth, and other identifying information.

For a parental-rights termination case, in "all papers submitted to the court, including all appendix items submitted with a brief, . . . a minor must be identified only by an alias." Tex.R.App.P. 9.8(b). Sensitive data must also be redacted. Id. R. 9.9(a) (requiring a minor's government-issued personal identification numbers and date of birth to be redacted).

We strike Appellant's brief and order Appellant to file an amended brief within ten days of the date of this order. The amended brief must correct all the violations listed above and fully comply with the applicable rules. See, e.g., id. R 9.4, 9.5, 9.8, 9.9, 38.1.

If Appellant timely files a brief that complies with this order, Appellee's brief will be due twenty days after Appellant's brief is filed. See Tex. R App. P. 38.6(b).
