ORIGINAL PROCEEDING FROM SMITH COUNTY

MEMORANDUM OPINION

The petition for writ of habeas corpus is dismissed for want of jurisdiction. Compare Tex. Gov't Code § 22.201(d) (listing counties in Third Court of Appeals District) with id. § 22.201(m) (listing counties in Twelfth Court of Appeals District, including Smith County). See also id. § 22.221(d) (establishing that courts of appeals have jurisdiction to issue writ of habeas corpus in civil cases); Tex. Code Crim. Proc. art. 11.05 (listing courts with authority to issue writ of habeas corpus in criminal proceedings).
