Deputy Prothonotary RE: Reciprocal Discipline Under

Rule 216, Pa.R.D.E.

Sal Greenman

Attorney Registration No. 68340

(File Reference #C2-18-583) Dear Prothonotary:

By Order of the Supreme Court of New Jersey dated May 29, 2018, and filed May 30, 2018, Sal Greenman's license to practice law in the State of New Jersey was suspended for one (1) year. Attached is a certified copy of the relevant Court Order.

Registration records indicate that Mr. Greenman ("Respondent") was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1993, under the attorney registration number shown above, and that his Pennsylvania license is currently administratively suspended. Imposition of reciprocal discipline under Rule 216, Pa.R.D.E., appears appropriate.

Pursuant to Rule 216, Pa.R.D.E., the Court should issue an order directing Respondent to show any reason why the imposition of identical or comparable discipline in this Commonwealth would be unwarranted. Attached is a proposed form of a notice and order appropriate for that purpose.

Rule 216 provides that, upon issuance of such an order, "the Board shall cause this notice" (including a copy of the order of the other jurisdiction) to be served upon the respondent-attorney by mailing it to the address furnished in the attorney's last registration statement. That address is 12-47 River Road, P.O. Box 1065, Fair Lawn, New Jersey, 07410-1065.

However, the Order of the Supreme Court of New Jersey dated May 29, 2018 indicates that Respondent is "formerly" of Fair Lawn, New Jersey. This office has been advised that the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics communicated with Respondent at his home address, which is 100 Winston Drive, Apt. 17A South, Cliffside Park, New Jersey, 07010. We respectfully request that Respondent's home address be used for service in this matter, but that it be kept confidential and not included in any public documents.

Respondent is pro se.

Respondent has no other discipline of record in Pennsylvania. However, Respondent has been on temporary suspension in New Jersey since February of 2015. In addition, Respondent received a censure in New Jersey in 2016.

Respondent failed to report his suspension to the Secretary of the Disciplinary Board, as required by Pa.R.D.E. 216(e).

This letter should serve as notice to Respondent that a conforming copy of all filings with the Court is to be served on Elizabeth A. Livingston, Disciplinary Counsel, District II Office, Office of Disciplinary Counsel, 820 Adams Avenue, Suite 170, Trooper, PA 19403.

We respectfully request that, after the Court issues the Notice and Order, and after the response time has expired, the Court enter a final Order: (1) suspending Respondent from the practice of law in this Commonwealth for one year pursuant to Rule 216, Pa.R.D.E.; and, (2) directing Respondent to comply with all of the provisions of Rule 217, Pa.R.D.E. Also attached is a proposed form of an order appropriate for that purpose.

I certify that I have this day sent a copy of this letter and its attachments to Respondent, addressed to 100 Winston Drive, Apt. 17A South, Cliffside Park, New Jersey, 07010. In addition I am providing copies of this letter and its attachments to individuals as indicated below.

Respectfully,

/s/

ORDER

The Disciplinary Review Board having filed with the Court its decision in DRB 17-140, concluding that SAL GREENMAN, formerly of FAIR LAWN, who was admitted to the bar of this State in 1993, and who has been temporarily suspended from practice since February 20, 2015, should be suspended from the practice of law for a period of two years for violating RPC 1.1(a)(gross neglect), RPC 1.3 (lack of diligence), RPC 1.4(b)(failure to communicate with the client), RPC 8.4(c)(conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation), and RPC 8.1(b)(failure to cooperate with disciplinary authorities);

ORDERED that respondent comply with Rule 1:20-20 dealing with suspended attorneys; and it is further

ORDERED that the entire record of this matter be made a permanent part of respondent's file as an attorney at law of this State; and it is further

ORDERED that respondent reimburse the Disciplinary Oversight Committee for appropriate administrative costs and actual expenses incurred in the prosecution of this matter, as provided in Rule 1:20-17.

WITNESS, the Honorable Stuart Rabner, Chief Justice, at Trenton, this 29th day of May, 2018.
