IN THE INTEREST OF E.J.M., A CHILD

On Appeal from the 254th Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. DF-22-12803.

ORDER

BONNIE LEE GOLDSTEIN JUSTICE

Before the Court is appellant's December 11, 2023 motion for an extension of time to pay the reporter's fee for preparation of the reporter's record. The trial court's docket sheet reflects that appellant filed a statement of inability to pay in the trial court on August 25, 2023 and does not show any contest to the statement was filed. Accordingly, appellant is allowed to proceed without payment of costs. See TEX. R. APP. P. 20.1(b)(1); TEX. R. CIV. P. 145(a) (payment of cost for preparation of appellate record not required when declarant is entitled to proceed without payment of costs under rule 145). In light of these circumstances, we GRANT appellant's motion as follows. We ORDER Official Court Reporter Deborah Quarles to file the reporter's record without cost on or before January 16, 2024.

We note the clerk's record designates appellant as a pauper.

We DIRECT the Clerk of this Court to send a copy of this order to the Honorable Kimberly Brown, Presiding Judge of the 254th Judicial District Court; Ms. Quarles; Court Reporter Ashley Boyd; and, all parties.
