Motion for access to sealed record granted

Respondent's “Motion for Access to Sealed Reporter's Transcript of In Camera Hearing and to Sealed Penal Code Section 987.9 Materials,” filed on October 3, 2016, is granted in part and denied in part as follows. Regarding the record on appeal in People v. Dement, No. S042660, the Clerk is directed to provide to counsel for respondent a copy of (1) the “Reporter's Transcript on Appeal (In Camera Hearing),” page 81 through the end of the sentence in line 3 on page 82; (2) “Supplemental Clerk's Transcript on Appeal # 1 Sealed,” pages 517–528, 538-594, and 603-684; and (3) “Supplemental Clerk's Transcript on Appeal #5 Sealed,” pages 15–138. Except as provided herein, the documents remain under seal and their use is limited to this proceeding. In all other respects the motion is denied.
