Summary of Misconduct:

Mr. Cresto, who was licensed in 1983, was disbarred on consent effective June 30, 2005. He defrauded his law firm by failing to obtain partnership approval to engage in an outside business, failed to bill that business for legal services provided by him and the law firm, and caused the law firm to pay over $80,000 in purported disbursements for that business without billing the business or disclosing to the law firm his relationship with the business. He also defrauded business partners and their spouses by signing their names to loan documents without their knowledge or consent.


Order of the Court:

The motion by movant, John Joseph Cresto, to strike his name from the roll of attorneys licensed to practice law in Illinois pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 762(a), effective June 30, 2005, is allowed.
