IN RE CHILDREN'S MEDICAL CENTER OF DALLAS, Relator

Original Proceeding from the County Court at Law No. 2 Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. CC-22-02427-B

Before Justices Pedersen, III, Nowell, and Miskel

MEMORANDUM OPINION

BILL PEDERSEN, III, JUSTICE

In its May 30, 2023 amended petition for writ of mandamus, relator seeks relief from two trial court orders: a May 24, 2023 order compelling relator to respond to discovery requests without objections, produce responsive documents, and provide a withholding statement; and a May 24, 2023 order denying relator's motion for entry of protective order on confidentiality and time for discovery.

Entitlement to mandamus relief requires relator to show that the trial court clearly abused its discretion and that relator lacks an adequate appellate remedy. In re Prudential Ins. Co. of Am., 148 S.W.3d 124, 135-36 (Tex. 2004) (orig. proceeding). After reviewing relator's petition and the record before us, we conclude that relator has failed to demonstrate entitlement to mandamus relief.

Accordingly, we deny the petition for writ of mandamus. See Tex. R. App. P. 52.8(a).

We also lift the stay issued by this Court's May 25, 2023 Order.
