On order of the Court, the question certified by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan is considered and, it appearing to this Court that the cases of Pohutski v City of Allen Park (Docket No. 116949) and Jones v City of Farmington Hills (Docket No. 117935), are pending on appeal before this Court and that the decision in those cases may resolve the question certified by the United States District Court, the request to answer this certified question will be held in ABEYANCE pending the Court's resolution of Pohutski and Jones. The parties to the underlying cases in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan are invited to file amicus curiae briefs in Pohutski and Jones.
