ORIGINAL PROCEEDING FROM TRAVIS COUNTY

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Relator Charles Bunton, an inmate in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, has filed a pro se petition for writ of mandamus asking this Court to compel itself to vacate this Court's 2004 judgment affirming relator's 2002 judgment of conviction for evading arrest or detention with a vehicle. See Tex. Gov't Code § 22.221; see also Tex. R. App. P. 52. The petition for writ of mandamus is denied. See Tex. R. App. P. 52.8(a).

Relator claims that this Court's judgment "was void ab initio . . . for lack of subject-matter jurisdiction and lack of authority to consider the merits of the appeal" of his judgment of conviction.
