Petition for review granted; transferred to Court of Appeal, Fifth Appellate District, with directions to issue an order to show cause
The petition for review is granted. The matter is transferred to the Court of Appeal, Fifth Appellate District. That court is ordered to vacate its summary denial dated October 15, 2020, and to issue an order to show cause, returnable before the Kings County Superior Court, requiring the Kings County Sherriff's Department to show cause why petitioner is not entitled to the relief sought, namely the filing of a renewed motion to be released on petitioner's own recognizance or for the reduction of bail in the superior court in light of In re Humphrey (2018) 19 Cal.App.5th 1006, 1041-1045. The superior court shall expedite the proceedings to ensure prompt resolution of this matter.
