Original Proceeding 60th District Court of Jefferson County, Texas
Trial Cause No. B-195 ,107
ORDER
American General Life Insurance Company filed a petition for writ of mandamus. The relator is the defendant in Cause Number B-195,107, Anna Dickson and Jamie Carter v. American General Life Insurance Company. Relator seeks a writ compelling the Honorable Justin Gary Sanderson, Judge of the 60th District Court of Jefferson County, Texas, to vacate in part his order of April 19, 2017, which granted a motion to compel responses to Plaintiffs' Request for Admission, Second Set of Interrogatories, and Second Request for Production. We note our jurisdiction over this matter and the parties. See Tex. Gov't Code Ann. § 22.221 (West 2004).
Relator requests a stay of the disputed discovery as temporary relief. See Tex. R. App. P. 52.10(a). The Court finds temporary relief is necessary to prevent undue prejudice. It is ORDERED that the trial court's order of April 19, 2017, in Cause Number B-195,107 is STAYED as to Plaintiffs' Interrogatory Numbers 8 through 14 and Plaintiffs' Requests for Production Numbers 17 through 24. See Tex. R. App. P. 52.10(b). The relief here ordered shall remain in effect until our Opinion issues or until further order of this Court. No bond is required of the relator as a condition to any relief herein granted.
MOTION FOR TEMPORARY RELIEF GRANTED.
ORDER ENTERED May 11, 2017.
