In the Interest of A.C.K. a/k/a A.K., a Child

Trial court: 313th District Court of Harris County Trial court case number: 2022-01389J

ORDER

APRIL FARRIS, JUDGE

Appellant, mother, filed a notice of appeal from the trial court's September 6, 2023 Decree for Termination, terminating her parental rights to A.C.K., also known as A.K. Mother's brief was due to be filed with the Court on or before November 6, 2023. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.6(a). On November 6, 2023, mother, through counsel, filed an unopposed motion for extension of time to file her appellant's brief. In the motion, mother requests that the deadline for filing her appellant's brief be extended to November 27, 2023.

Mother's motion is granted. Mother's brief is due to be filed on or before November 27, 2023. Because this appeal involves the termination of the parent-child relationship, this Court is required, so far as reasonably possible, to bring the appeal to final disposition no later than March 22, 2024, which is 180 days from the date the notice of appeal was filed, September 25, 2023. See Tex. R. Jud. Admin. 6.2, reprinted in Tex. Gov't. Code Ann., tit. 2, subtit. F app. Accordingly, no further extensions of time will be granted absent extraordinary circumstances.

It is so ORDERED.
