ORDER

Original Mandamus Proceeding Sitting: Rebeca C. Martinez, Justice Irene Rios, Justice Beth Watkins, Justice

This proceeding arises out of Cause No. 19-07-37588-MCV, styled Maria Torres v. A.C., Jr., et al., pending in the 293rd Judicial District Court, Maverick County, Texas. The Honorable Maribel Flores signed the order at issue in this original proceeding.

On November 5, 2020, relators filed a petition for writ of mandamus and a motion to stay the December 3, 2020 trial setting pending final resolution of the petition for writ of mandamus. This court believes a serious question concerning the mandamus relief sought requires further consideration. See TEX. R. APP. P. 52.8(b). The respondent and the real party in interest may file a response to the petition in this court no later than December 1, 2020. Any such response must conform to Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 52.4.

Relators' request for temporary relief is GRANTED. The trial court's December 3, 2020 trial setting is STAYED pending final resolution of the petition for writ of mandamus.

It is so ORDERED November 16, 2020.
